In the Metropolitan Region, the most evident effects of the climate crisis are associated with a drought that has lasted more than a decade and the increase in heavy summer rains in the mountainous zone, which, due to the dragging of materials, cause high turbidity events in the Maipo and Mapocho rivers, affecting the purification of raw water. We work closely with the authorities and the local community to develop solutions that ensure a reliable and sustainable water supply in an uncertain future.
