Why are we “revisiting” our Purpose in 2023?

It is a statement that comes from the organization itself and defines the raison of being of Aguas Andinas, integrating itself as a strategic pillar to our main economic activity and focuses on the value we contribute as a company to society and the territory in which we operate.

The objective of updating the arguments of this statement in 2023 was mainly aimed at strengthening and enhancing our water management model and contributing to adjusting our management and relationship to the new challenges we face.

The purpose manifesto
Aguas Andinas provides access to drinking water and sanitation to the Metropolitan Region, in the context of the complex environmental challenges faced by the Maipo basin and its inhabitants, contributing significantly to sustainable social, environmental and economic development.
We work proactively to be part of the adaptation to climate change, thinking creatively and assuming the role of a corporate citizen to the community, our employees, customers and shareholders.
We are convinced that integrated and responsible water management is the best strategy for responding to and creating shared value, facing an urgent need of maximum relevance for current society and future generations.
The actions guided by this Purpose are deployed in three areas or “territories of Aguas Andinas' Purpose”:
- Promote environmental education and culture.
- Cultivate virtuous relationships with the community.
- Caring for our environment and its ecosystems (the basin, its rivers and affluents, the city and the natural landscape).
Aguas Andinas is committed to being a relevant and proactive player in the challenges facing the planet, putting all its capacities, knowledge and human capital to contribute to make our geographical area a world reference in the responsible and sustainable management of water as a vital resource for human progress.
